Как пояснил виновник блога Бенджамин Грант, название проекта касается психологического термина «Overview effect» ( «Отклик обозрения»).
«Если смотреть на Землю с высоты – и старый и малый объекты кажутся маленькими, такими, которые нужно увеличить иль защитить. На многих снимках заметно, как изменились перспективы из-за деятельности человека», – говорит Бенджамин.
The southern end of Skaftafell National Park in Iceland is pictured in this Overview. The park spans nearly 3000 square miles, and contains the glacier Skaftafellsjökull seen here.
